1. Eat a healthy Food

As Important as Salt and Sugar are to the taste of our food and the human body, excess consumption of them can lead to high sodium content in the body and a high risk of tooth decay and unhealthy weight gain.

4. Get Physical
The body needs enough amount of exercise to keep the body, nerves and brain stipulated. There are little exercises you can do that doesn't have to involve straining yourself. Example, walking, Carrying out house chores, dancing etc.
My advise, take at least an hour each day to exercise.
5. Avoid excessive use of alcohol
Alcoholic Drinks are wildly consumed around the world. Sadly, there is practically no safe level for alcohol intake. Alcohol contains Ethanol, Which is not safe for human consumption. So it is advisable that if you must take alcohol, take as little as possible.
6. Do not smoke
Unless prescribed by a legit doctor, You should never engage in smoking. Smoking tobacco causes NCDs such as lung disease, heart disease and stroke. Not to mention the fact that it gets really addictive with time. My advice, DO NOT SMOKE.
7. Check Your Blood Pressure Regularly
Hypertension, or high blood pressure, is called a “silent killer”. The number of persons who suffer stroke, heart disease, brain and kidney problems and other diseases and in most cases death due to High Blood Pressure are on the rise. This is because many people who have hypertension may not be aware of the problem as it may not have any symptoms.
My advise, Have your blood pressure checked regularly by a health worker. Prevention is much better than cure in this case.
8. Talk to someone you trust if you're feeling down
Depression is an illness many don't take seriously. Some don't even know they are battling depression until it is too late. It can be worse in some than others. Depression comes in different forms. It could be that sad feeling you always harbour, or the constant sense of loss or negativity.
My advise, talk to someone you trust such as a family member, colleague, friend or any mental health professional about how you feel. Do not contain the idea that you can battle it on your own
9. Practice protected sex
Till date, there are no cure for HIV and AIDS. Although there are drugs that help suppress it's effects in the body. That is why many people today are carriers of these viruses. And so, if you must have sex, you should use protection. There are other treatable infections like gonorrhoea and syphilis. If for any reason you contact these desease, do not be shy or afraid to see a doctor, as it pertains your well-being.
10. Go For Tests
Tests don't always have to be done when you're seriously sick or feeling some symptoms of sickness. You should always go for regularly tests and check ups at least once a month. It is very important in knowing your health status. It is the best preventive technique against sickness and infections.
